Front Porch Bookstore is a used not for profit bookstore and is run by the Friends of the Winterville Library in Winterville, Georgia, about six miles from Athens, and about 70 miles from Atlanta. The Friends of the Winterville Library (FOWL) opened Front Porch Bookstore in November 2009 to raise funds to support the Winterville Library, which is a branch of the Athens Clarke County Library.
This unique bookstore is located in the original Winterville City Hall building, at 102 Margold Lane, near the Winterville Library and the Winterville Police Department. FOWL is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. Your donations of books, other media, and money are all tax deductible. We welcome donations and new members of FOWL, and volunteers to help operate the bookstore.
